Replicas

Replicas of antique scientific instruments such as Faraday's dynamo or Newton's telescope, including all the relevant documentary research. Original materials (copper, brass, ivory) are used in their fabrication.

In the field of the history of science, we make replicas of ancient instruments, sometimes in small runs. We currently manufacture around 40 standard models of very well-known instruments such as Leeuwenhoek's microscope, Foucault's gyroscope, Heron's aeliopile, Ramsden's electrostatic machine, Leonardo da Vinci's hygrometer, the zoetrope, Newton's telescope, the gold-leaf electroscope or Volta's battery. All of them are working replicas made to the same dimensions and with identical materials as the original.
